| Its interesting to wonder if anyone actually knows the origin of this song? Its from an old play by Bertolt Brecht and is about a rather nasty piece of work called MacHeath. The women in the song are mainly prostitutes and low lifes. Its a horrible song from an amazing play. Its not a crooning song! |
