also, there have been other political parties in the past, several. the ide that it is a 2 party system is not true. there are many parties now. its just that the corporations are funding the 2. if a third party was properly funded, it would stand an equal chance.
btw... your right about technology... it is how it is used that is critical. thanks :))

eliminating taxation without representation, andimplementing self-representation would change being governed to active participation. there would still be elected officials, but they would be there to push paper work, more so than making decisions.
people would vote on ideas, instead of politicians helping their buddies.

but is anarchy really the "default position" for social primates with dominance hierarchies?
certainly, anarchy is the default position for a logical individual with a sense of justice, but is it really "natural?"
hierarchies can be observed at every level of human interaction
another way to look at it, is those hierarchies were localized small governments.
some anarchist want to revert to tribal ways.
i try to look forward. instead of reverting, possibly incorporate what works, with new ways that work too. we need to evolve social morality. so far we have just been evolving technology and weapons.
