i have chinese blood in me and it angers me seeing this.i dont believe this was a cia coup or anything like that but i do think in the past usa has tried to turn china democratic, just like it came out about them trying to assassinate castro. But any normal chinese(i.e by not being apart of ccp)can see this is wrong ak 47s being shot at your own people a disgrace.the japanese when they invaded in 1937 shot at innocent chinese and most chinese hate them well the ccp done the same.think about it.

Army are shooting the wrong people, those are civilians, they are sheep. Shoot the god damn students, they started this, they managed to get everyone involved.
well, guess we can't kill every student, but kill some of the leaders, they are some crazy selfish motherf88kers.
what a mess. army should have invented the term "domestic terrorist", then they can bring down missiles and artilleries into crowd while justified. That would be a show.

Well if people wanted to change the PRC government, protesting in the Square is the wrong way to do it. I feel sorry for some of the students as their corrupt protest organizers were secretly eating during the hunger strike and fled at the first hint of danger.

The students were ... ( 2 weeks ago by GoGloh)
The students were dissenting; they were not robbing the government. I understand your perspective, but if people have no other way to influence the gov't, they will seek ways that may not be obedient. Protests are not movements to overthrow a gov't, but to express a strong perspective, often one that wants for change. I certainly don't think the gov't was acting in a more civilized way in this case. Would you tell me what more civilized and effective method the students should have used?
Actually, USA ... ( 2 weeks ago by GoGloh)
Actually, USA doesn't open fire on protestors. There are protests in the USA all the time. If worse comes to worse, non-lethal weapons are used, but our culture here is very different, and protests do get the attention of our lawmakers and leaders, so most protests of that manner here don't last as long. Strikes are a different matter. :)

No need for such angry hatred, canucklheaded. Thanks for bringing it up; now that you've brought it to my attention, I can look it up. :)
I live in an area of the USA where protests happen on frequent and regular basis, so, for me, it's not a big deal to see a protest - in fact, many people I know have protested, even me. Never have we had the US army open fire on us. The Vietnam War was before my time, but part of the USA's very shady history; then again, no nation in the world is innocent.

Of course! I think ... ( 1 week ago by GoGloh)
Of course! I think as citizens of a democracy, we're responsible to speak up and educate each other. Democracy's also an experiment and we often forget we're still working on it, changing it, developing it, but I feel fortunate to be part of it. I disagree with my gov't and other aspects of the USA very often, but I've never felt systematically persecuted for speaking against them. In the end, I'm happy to be American, but I don't believe the USA is perfect - honestly, we're very far from it. :)
