The infiniti and benz look real bad. LOL at Audi with the lil honk. LOL at the children with the "3 mph" signs on their back.
How do they even calculate the damage cost? For some of the car, I don't even see a distinct visual damage to the bumpers.

Yea I got a kick out of the 3mph signs too, the funny part is it probably wasn't meant to be a joke.
They come to those costs by going to the dealer and assessing the cost to fully restore the car. Mounts may be broken or bent, headlamps, radiators, body work, bumper fasteners might be broken requiring whole replacement, etc..

what does that infiniti not have a rear bumper or what?? shit. i was hit from the back in my 93 integra by a newer ford focus, i was slowing down to change lanes, i was going about 15mph and she was going upwards of 30 when she hit me, and there was almot no damage to either car other than a few scratches to the bumper covers and my foam absorber was squished up prety good.

I think they should perform the high-speed crashes against this barrier because the risk of slamming into the back of a car at 40 M.P.H. is greater than slamming into a wall.

Some car manufacturers will never make or install "bumper bars" for the follwing reasons
1. it costs the greedy tycoons more to install them on every mass produced car.
2. the greedy tycoons will want you to take your car back to them to repair it! more damage made means MORE MONEY SPENT!
So the whole outcome is, car manufacturers are gaining more points against the consumers by not installing them at all
Thats my opinion anyway

I designed and installed my own damn bumper push bars for about 30 bucks. Anybody who can't do what I did for themselves.....well, natural selection. I get to live and they get to die. Simple as that. Identify the problems and fix them, otherwise, you are a helpless whimpering coward. I hate cowards. I have to deal with them all the time and their complaints, like some kind of consumer advocate god is supposed to protect them from "bad stuff." well, there is no god, You have to look after yours.
