It isn't as overtly 'Left Wing' as other shows.
(I end up turning off half the episodes of The Simpons- as it's SO partronisingly liberal at times...)
Stan is a great parody of the Gun Weilding Bible Thumping Republican- BUT there are more than enough Panty Wearing Liberals to balance him out.
A great show and by far my favourite of the 'Evening Cartoons.'

It's not a coincidence intelligent humor that actually somehow slips on T.V. is left wing, it's a fact that no intelligent humor comes out of anyone right wing.
Not that I even care for either side of the political right-left dualism model.
It's just that what one person thinks is funny- someone else finds annoying/petty or even offensive. Hence they don't rate it as 'intelligent.'
Nothing slips onto the television anymore these days. Millions of £££'s and man hours are put into creating and marketing every series.
I'm cynical I know- but What The Hey...
Obviously, you don't have that kinda humour.
