Actually, The climate has never been constant - it fluctuates. That is, again, a flaw in the data, but this does not contradict global warming. Most scientists who actually deal with theory are positive that its there. And the first scientist to make an announcement after several years of research went straight to the media because the skeptics were going to tear him apart by the time it got to the people. While I firmly believe in GW, I know that nothing will be done about it anytime soon...

Nothing I said actually argued with the fact the climate fluctuates. I merely said that the huge fluctuations seen in the last 1000 years don't fit in with the current theory, so they do contradict global warming, no one can argue with that. The only reason the skeptic's would tear that guy apart would be because there were flaws, and there's many of them. Nothing can be done about something which is based on a currently flawed concept.

While the greenhouse gas rates always follow the temperature rates, which they do, and since that one piece of evidence alone puts the whole theory out, there is no reason to be a proponent. When they get valid evidence that it is happening, I will be a proponent, but until then it takes belief, and as a scientist I don't make assumptions based on belief, I make deductions based on factual evidence.

I know David Icke is bad person to quote from, but anyone that simple believes in global warming because 'a scientist said so', are merely 'repeaters'. It takes no logical thought whatsoever to repeat something that someone else has said. That doesn't actually make the claim true. Saying that global warming is true because many scientists (most of which don't work on the actual field) say it's true, is no better than saying it isn't true because the pope says so. Both are invalid arguments.

BEYONDDOGMA, there is really no point in arguing any further, you know for a fact that you are arguing with someone who blindly follows the media's depiction of doom and gloom, and you know as well as I do, that this is wrong. Even if it turns out that there is man-made Global Warming, and I agree that is very unlikely (looking at the evidence), but even if there is, man is not doing as much harm as the media claims we are, and in fact we won't have very much of an effect on climate at all.

At the end of the day BD, the research into 'Global Warming' is useless, as it has already been proven that our greenhouse gas levels are not big enough to do anything other than an incredibly small amount of damage to the earth, as the earth gives out much more greenhouse gas naturally anyway, and it has been proven that all greenhouse gases rise following a rise in temperature, which means the theory doesn't mean anything. We can hardly blame the earth and the temperature for 'Global Warming'.

Fortunately, 'Global Warming' is nothing more than a media scare and a political attack on those who work in coal and oil mining (as Margaret Thatcher kindly showed us in the eighties). Also, 'Global Warming' scientist's originally told us that 'Global Dimming' was happening, and that we should use more fossil fuels to fight it. Then they changed their minds. Now, they're going back to 'Global Dimming' apparently, according to many recent science articles. They can't make up their minds.

The facts are looking bad for 'Global Warming' proponents. A lack of supportive evidence, a constant change in theories, and the fact that most of the so-called 'scientists' backing 'Global Warming' aren't actually scientists at all , but politicians, and those that know the most about the theory are actually skeptics. I would say being a proponent of Global Warming is a bit like being a YEC 100 years ago, when the evidence for Evolution was just coming in.

No matter what you two morons keep trying to say, you can't prove or disprove anything. The theory of "repeating what a scientist says doesn't make it anymore believable if the pope said it" malarky you just spewed out just gave us all a reason NOT to believe YOU as well! So who DO we believe? Even if oil isn't casuing global warming, it's still destroying everything else. Wars have been fought, and millions killed just for oil.
