I gotta know - who was the hairstylist on that set? Quite a look the Captain had there. As a result of having been in the USMC, he probably was reacting to brush cuts; he wanted to wear his mane proudly.

Didn't it seem like in the SNL skit with Sarah Palin this past weekend that they were shooting "Mr. Moose". Man, an American institution. What a drag! Maybe they need a skit where McCain plays the captain and they take pot shots at Mr. Moose again. Gotta love Caribou Barbie!

Captain Kangaroo, bunny rabbit, Mr. Moose, dancing bear oh and Mr. Greenjeans, this show connected all of us children, there wasn't anything better than C.K, sadly there still isn't to this day. We all loved these characters and this wonderful childrens show. Thanks for sharing this video, what a great trip back in time....KW
