Although come to think of it, the U.S. could possibly increase the supply of medical training facilities by removing all the licensing and accreditations it issues as requirements. Our government in many ways (through the AMA and FDA) do afford many medical related companies to construct barriers to protect their monopolies that would be non-existent in a free market.

Oh DO you now? Doctors are no better than engineers? ROFLOL! Are you joking????? Now engineers are smart and do very hard work I will say that, but when was the last time an engineer had to do emergency surgery to save someone's life? Or put themselves at risk for diseases to operate on someone? And one wrong move in a split second could kill someone? Oh that's right, NEVER! If I need open heart surgery, I think I'll look for someone with medical training over an engineer. Thanks. Bye!

i live in England and am English and if you did well in school than the goverment will pay to train you as a doctor they even pay you to train for a doctor and many other jobs so i dont know where you heard that from.

You are speaking rubbish! Generalisations I don't agree with, but this person is telling you that the system is terrible. That they could be homeless and you respond with Africa?!. Of course we need to help poorer countries, but by keeping Health insurance with a monopoly of not just American health but dictating the prices and what's available on the world's markets then that's denying not just Americans but those Africans dying from diseases such as AIDs medical care!

Sorry for that but Usa is a sick Country ;permission needed for travel to Cuba, buying things in pharmacy .So if I if Us citizen had terrible accident there should A-die ,B-go back to Usa and risking to die(because immediate action was necessary) and paying a lot of money if he barely survived and maybe die after ,C -be treated for free and LIVE!!!
