i dont think you understand what a sound check is! sound check means your testing the sound from the amps making sure all the fx pedals are connected and mics, doesnt mean you have to play well, they save that for the real thing!

Its a soundcheck!!!! I have seen these guys play live more times than I can remember and have only ever heard the occasional bum note, they went out of tune intentionally probably to piss off the sound engineers or something. STATUS QUO <-- The best live rock band in the world.

Hillarious! And it proves also how good they are, because the hardest thing to do is to play out of tune deliberately. Still, it cracks me up every time Rick sets in that solo riff :p

I don't know whether some people realise but the bit out of tune at the end is deliberate. Its a soundcheck, so Rick thought it good to play it out of tune for a laugh.
