My max/msp lemur sequencer

this is a sequencer i programmed in max using the lemur as a control interface. it sends midi info to whatever program you use. i also forgot to mention that each track can have independent timings, so varitions can span longer than just 1 bar of music.

did kraftwerk and aphex use fruity loops? donno bout that ay, Bass Hunter maybe, but iv been using FL for ages and the mastering and sound quality is pretty shit. Not to mention the main reason i ditched it, the midi modulation is terrible!! controlling variables of a VST pluggin with the Dashboard couldnt be more cumbersome. Anyway lol now i use REASON and ABLETON LIVE as a host - SOOOO GOOD!! ha

no, should just be a joke. it was a comment to DerAnstifter, thats german and means something like the troublemaker. so i thought his comment was meant as a joke (but i´m not sure). i´m sure kraftwerk don´t use FL, aphex twin seems to be open for everything that produces sound and propably could do an whole album with FL in the shortest time that still sounds better than 90% of high end productions. his talent is just incredible. but it think he´s got enough equipment that works better for him.

another word to ableton live: i use it too but i think the sound quality is pretty shit too (speaking of eqs and mastering etc...) there are some nice effects but i don´t like any of the the standards. especially the eqs are terrible i think. i find myself more and more just using it as a hd-recorder... o.k. but here it´s about the lemur: well, nice controller. i consider it as a nice alternative for a screen.

this may eventually seperate the dj from the musician,,, i can see dj's useing this machine and not having any records /cds..just a bank of sounds etc.,.,
its a cool toy, though my 7 year old sister could stumble across something 'groove /riff' whatever that a £1000 an hour dj could be rockin a club with,,,
and my sisters deaf and only got one finger.
