That is true, but to be honest, I wouldn't worry about President-Elect Obama being the socialist, after President Bush started nationalizing major banks, spending tax dollars on the bail-out equivalent of a planned economy, and the patriot act which takes all citizen's rights and puts them "on loan" to the public.
It's hard to tell exactly where any politician is going, and most nations drift over time into either; Ultra-socialist, Dictatorship, or Paralyzed Polarized. It's a random game.
