I love how Hannity is trying without actually coming out and saying it, to blame the people for sitting around and waiting for the supplies instead of just getting up and going to the supplies. Easy to say for a guy making multi millions of dollars a year.

I agree Katrina was a muddled disaster, but you should know...FEMA was unable to step in because it is FEDERAL Emergency Management Agency. Since it's a federal agency and not a state-run group, it can't get involved in state affairs (as mandated by the Constitution), even if it is to help. It was a failure on the Governor's part to not request federal aid/relief sooner.

ok here we go..
1. The governor didn't put in an official request for aid, therefore it was not constitutional for federal government to step in.
2. So many people bash fox for being part of white house talking points. Explain this.
3. I feel sorry for those babies and children but why the hell did those people stay in New Orleans? they had a 5 day warning. I feel no sympathy for adults who decided to stay. I feel terrible for kids/babies whos stupid parents who wanted to ride out katrina

The government implied it would look after people who went to the place they were told to go. It is not the public's fault that the authorities lied and then treated them worse than animals. I know watching people suffer is hard and some of you have to be smartasses about it to make it palatable for yourself but lets not deny what is fact and that we can see with our own eyes. If you want a reality check, remind yourself this is modern day America and EVERYBODY knew Katrina was coming
