Pjoiner, first of all, I guarantee that there are far more ophthalmologists who wear glasses and contacts than those who have had LASIK. The question u should be asking is, "If LASIK is so good, why don't all myopic ophthalmologists who are candidates have it done?" Second, doctors are humans just like everyone else. They are not infallible and they are not gods. There are caring, conscientious doctors and there are those who are greedy, lazy, and stupid. Doctors can also make stupid decisions.

Although, most people who have this done only have like, a slight prescription, maybe -2 - 3
My right eye is about minus 5.7 i think, not exactly sure but it's in the fives. Is it possible to have that corrected, or does it start to get risky?
