The Siberian Tiger weight can be counterproductive in a fight with a fully grown wild African Male Lion. The excessive heavy weight may tire the Tiger during the fight quicker, as the Tiger has to lug around that heavy weight at a fast pace, it's stamina is reduced.

Unless the Siberian Tiger defeats the Lion in the first 10 minutes, I highly doubt the Siberian Tiger will continue to fight at adequate power levels that are required to defeat the Lion, yes the lion would be severely wounded but it's stamina would allow it to continue the fight and possibly give a fatal blow. That's if the fight is intense and non0stop for 10 minutes, surely the heavier Siberian Tiger would severely slow down and capitulate.

Yea but if the Tiger lays one good blow or gets the lion underneath him he could easily take advantage...it would probably depend on the exact tiger and the exact lion...but overall I think most lions would shit kick most tigers :D...good analysis though!

You aren't making any sense. Tigers are heavier but it's bone and muscle and they have the respiration to back it. If a male lion wins it would be because the lion can go all out knowing a pride will shovel giraffes his way when he's too exhausted or wounded to hunt.

As some one who has worked with several tigers and a lion as well as providing educational classes and tours i'd like to inform you a tad. Firstly the tigers weight would have no bearing on it's stanima. Just as lions these guys are almost all muscle. Both at a healthy body weight generaly have less than 30% body fat. Although I can't say I know who would have the greater stanima I'd give that to the tiger on the grounds that a single tiger can have up to one hundred square miles....

of it's own territory wich it must constantly patrol in order to protect it's bounderies meaning alot of travel. Also because of the many rivers most tigers encounter they do alot of swimming and have been recorded of swiming up to 20 miles in a single effort.Secondly because both animales are extremely fortuitous there'd be no "killing blow". When either of these cats fight their fellows it's an extremely long and brutal event that oftem leads to the other being left to die, taking hours.

As far as their neck biting goes they both share simular bite pressure being surpassed by jaguars. The male lion may have an advantage because its thick mane provides decent protection from it's local rivals but has never been tested against the 6in long canines of a tiger so. Thirdly tigers are solitary predators while lions generaly work in groups. A tiger would have experiance in single handedly bring down powerful prey. Although both are increadable smart tigers seem better at solving...

complex problem but that's only in my own experiance and i have no authoritive source to back that up nor do i want to try to pasa that off as fact. The lion has a couple of thing going for it though, it's less likely to over heat because of it's life on africa's sweltering plains. Also In build a lion is "boxier" and more stout that a tiger giving it the ability to land powerful tackles. In all the two are evenly matched and victory would most likely lie in the specific cats.

There was on here or live leak an old circus clip showing a male tiger and male lion fighting in the ring .The tiger was all over the lion .. so much that the lion kept trying to get into the submision position.

we haved had this debate for a while now i think we are well educated on size, muscle mass, and there shape of there skeletons so on so forth. we have to look at weakness in there defence how they attack. the videos i have seen on youtube they fight very diffrently.

also listing Siberian Tigers at 900 pounds is a stretch. The largest uncomfirmed report has one at just under 850 pounds but even these estimated are unconfirmed. More reliable estimates Put the MAX weight of a Siberian Tiger around 700 poounds but usually weigh much less than that
