The reason they gave for the better combat was made COMPLETELY obsolete when you get to the end of the game...They really shot themself in the foot with that.

Incorrect. Pay attention tot he combat in Homecoming; you'll realize that, for a video game, yeah, it's advanced, but it isn't really something you'd need anything more than a military background for. (Remember, anything 'special' he knows he probably learned from his father, a veteran and the police chief, or cheriff, or whatever.)

I agree with the plot and combat parts of your review. Predictable plot, but still good, and really actiony gameplay, but still good. :D

Im saying that when they were making the game they harped on about the fact that he was in the military, but in the end you find out that he aint. Im sorry but I dont understand what your saying to me man...you saying that he learnt it from his dad?

Yes. Seriously, are you saying that, because you're not in the military, you can't dodge and grapple? Granted, the gun aiming and rapid knife slashes any ordinary person might not already know- but that is, indeed, where Alex's father comes in. :D

look, all im saying is that all the interviews etc before the game was released, they explained the reason why he was so good at combat and why the game would have more of a combat focus was because he was in the military. But the ending contradicts that. In no interview did they ever say or hint that his father taught him. You're pulling out something from nothing here...

...Again... Nothing complex or special about his ocmbat style. And when was his time in the mnilitary- indeed, proven to be a figment of Alex's imagination- connected to him being a master fighter. You said it yourself- "the game would have more of a combat focus". There is simply more emphasis on combat in the game, instead of running away constantly.

not really, infact, it was no were near, the controls were clunky/clumsy, the combat was repetative and boring and the game was paced very slowly. though for some reason it was still fun and the story was pretty interesting.
