Gas prices have been going up with no end in sight, so we headed over to the street to find out the average Joe and Jane's view on this ever increasing problem, and to get their prediction for gas prices on Jan 1st, 2009. We also give you some simple tips on saving gas, and spoke to a Toyota and Hummer dealer to find out how increasing gas prices are affecting their sales. Two years ago, I saw cheap used economy cars for sale everywhere. Now, used economy cars are few and far between, and their price has tripled. I'm glad I chose a Sentra instead of a Crown Victoria.
Even with 27MPG, though, I find myself driving less often than before.

Good for you. At one point in time, I wanted a Hummer. Of course, I was not going to use it everyday. Now, because gas costs so much, I'd settle for a Prius too. Not to mention, a Prius can smoke some of these sorry, gas-guzzling, S.U.V.s driven by these dumbasses who never know when to keep their mouths shut. I am glad I never bought one. Stick to these fuel efficient ricers. If you hardly drive them, you'd only have to fill up every 2 weeks.

I bet people would change to cars. With gas prices as high as they are who'd want some gaz-guzzing S.U.V (which should stand for shitty ugly vehicle). I stick to cars b/c 9 out of 10 times that can smoke one of those heavy, dreadful, things driven by dumbasses. I should know b/c I reside in putrid North Carolina. I wouldn't mind owning an S.U.V. as a vehicle to use only once in a while. But for everyday use, I'd take a fuel efficient ricer. If you hardly drive it, you'd put gas every 2 weeks.

It's funny how no one pays attention to current events. Yes gas is high and yes it will always go up, but gas will not be 7 to 10 dollars by January '09. Gas is always higher in the summer and it's already leveling off. To reach $8 oil would have to double to $300 per barrel. Even the most impressive predictions say $200 at the most.
Economists all agree that the current price is inflated and due to speculation in the marketplace. I predict $3.50 for Christmas.

At my car dealership they are not taking any more used Hummers. As a matter of fact they are all selling at a lost. They been sitting in the show room for many months. Believe or not an average guy can purchase a used Hummer now. Now, to maintain this beast thirst of GAS is a different story! Is just the fact.
