Video Description:
Wilka, an adult female dingo, casually walks and sniffs around with puppies from some of this year's litters before taking a break and coming over to me for a back scratch.
The dingo is an endangered type of wolf that has lived on the Australian mainland for thousands of years and evolved alongside prey species to establish efficient and well balanced ecosystems.
It is the only animal capable of keeping Australian wildlife healthy by keeping prey and pest species in check.
Unfortunately, like our Tasmanian tiger in our shameful past, he is being vilified and killed off by powerful rural and hunting lobbies that clasp an abundance of ignorance, cruelty and greed.

schenk12: Kudos to the government in this case. You wouldn't want one; They are a wild type of wolf, not a domesticated dog that can easily be kept as a "pet". While captive dingoes are not generally aggressive, they are extremely hard to contain, socialise and keep happy otherwise. Most attempts to keep dingoes as "pets" end in disaster. The dingoes in my videos are not "pets"; They live at the Dingo Discovery Sanctuary and Research Centre.

A good way you can support dingoes is pressuring the Australian government to list them as a protected native species, not "vermin". Visit dingowolf dot org for more information.

MYdogKILO: Since you live in the USA, I highly doubt that. I get e-mails regularly from Americans convinced that their jindo, shiba, carolina dog, etc. is a dingo. Is that a picture of Kilo in your channel icon?

Of course it's possible, but extremely unlikely.. Most people in the USA don't even know what a dingo is. Heck, most people in Australia don't even know how to identify one. :P
