one of the slickest and best executed opening performances Madonna has ever done.
i am well aware she has inter-synching vocals for this particular track, but for me, the end result justifies the means.
i was glad she included a bit of the original Donna Summer / Giorgio Moroder track as well.
Brilliant. Period.

I have heard the original Donna Summer song. It is not that big a deal. As usual, Madonna took something and make it uniquely her own.

re shardy70's comment... she didn't use "inter-synching" vocals in this performance. they're called backup singers... namely donna delory and nicki richards. they're off stage. if the backing vocals sound like madonna, that's because donna's voice is similar to madonna's. that's why madonna uses her. (sorry, i just get sick of people trying to slam madonna for using pre-recorded vocals. she sings live!)

This is proof why Madonna is the Bitch Queen of All Divas! Who else can take an otherwise throwaway song to open a concert, and turn it into the greatest stage entrance EVER??? Proof that you can hear her, you can see her, but you CAN'T TOUCH her. There is nothing like the ORIGINAL!
