Thanks Sam! I just got back from the Rally for the Republic in Minnesota. It was energizing, motivating and educational, but it also was FUN!!! As Dr. Paul says, "Freedom is popular." It's also a blast! The natural state of human beings, I think.

The video is great but there's also Dennis Kucinich and Mike Gravel who ran for President on the Democratic side that are also uncompromising and speak their mind, check them out. The only thing about Ron Paul that I question is he is for drilling domestically and he sites Texas as an example but makes no mention of Alaska and the potential impact on the natural landscape. He also hasn't acknowledged that it would be no remedy for the soaring gas prices.

I understand what you're saying, but Ron Paul's philosophy is based on some very simple principles -- that the government should play a very small role in the activities of free people. As for the environment, you can't claim that the government has done such a great job in protecting it, can you?

No, the government hasn't been sterling on the environment and global warming is just now catching onto the political dialogue. What I don't understand about Ron Paul is how he can campaign as a rep but then after he suspends his campaign, he aligns himself w/ the third party people. I am for a third party but this is not the year for them. More importantly, we have more insane neo conservative policies coming our way and possibly worse, war w/ iran, w/ the current rep ticket. Very scary!

He had more money than many of the other candidates. He didn't win because despite having a reasonable amount of money and a reasonable amount of votes, he was given minimal coverage. And with whatever coverage he did receive, the news stations frequently made efforts to discredit him to their viewers.
