Going home is a short documentary style film, produced by Trucker Steve. http://www.truckersteve.com After spending a long time from home, i was inspired to make this film. It is really hard to be away from your family. People who travel for a living can relate with how i feel. I made this documentary to hopefully show those out there that are not familiar with the trucking lifestyle how hard it truly is. Your videos always bring a tear too my eye brother! I just love the ending! The love you have for family is greater then even the best that can be given! The time you spend on the roads is worse then doing jail time in a way! Hope some day you can be a full time film maker and take your family with ya as you please! Awesome Video, I have been thinking about getting into driving. I've worked in Call centers for the past 7 years and Really tired of dealing with people. I like driving and traveling, Down side is I have a family. This video started some doubt in me. But I know I would have to sacrifice.

Whoa. This video really made me think. Great job. I love trucking mostly b/c i grew up in the cab w/ my dad. Diesel literally runs through my vains (as he accidentally sprayed me with it once). But I remember all too well, those times when I could not accompany him. I remember missing him so bad. But NO ONE was more proud of his/her dad than me. While other kids played tag and slid down the slides, I pretended to drive a Kenworth. I hope my future kids are as proud of me as I was of him

Hey Steve,
Good job with this one. I am a cdl instructor and I recommend your vids to them. Some might say thats a bad idea, but I dont bull shit them around. They either going to love this job or hate it. It is what we make of it. It sucks to be on the road sometimes, but its an awesome feeling when you get home and know you worked your ass of to provide for the ones you love. Awesome Vid. Sounds exactly how i feel about my pops i know my kids are proud of Daddy and my son still wants to drive... Funny thing is my now ex wife was learning to drive (as i was here teacher) i said " let Mikey drive for a minute.. He did better then her setting on my lap.. She was like "well it is in the blood" LOL

Hearing your kid's voice after being long time on the road, must be something that cannot be set on words. I have laway beendreaming to be real trucker, but i have much diagnoses so i cant get drining license ever, but fortunately there is pair of good trucking simulators i can drive.. I am from finland myself so looking your films are very interesting to watch :) God bless you on your trips!
