I think you meant drastically "increases" your chances for survival. That is true. But my point is this...there are ppl that put there own personal safety aside for the good of all. On the 911 plane only a few rushed the hijackers the rest stayed in there seats. If I were at VT, I would like to think I would be one of the brave and rush the killer for the good of all (including myself). I did it in the military.

Umm... it just so happens that I've accumulated two entire boxfulls of newspaper articles over the past several years that detail murders committed with knives. The fact is, the sharpened blade is the oldest weapon in history and was killing people milleniums before guns were even invented! ...by the way, I'm pretty sure Cain did not use a gun to kill his brother Abel!
