i would take this "cheap M3 copy" any day over an overpriced yuppy BMW.
do people rip on this car cause its affordable? i bet if it was priced at $60,000 and made in europe people would love it!

This is the best thing HOLDEN ever did. And for those who say its a cheap M3 copy i'd say Holden based it more on American design, such as the new Dodge and Chrysler range. It seems that America repaid Australia by giving us the "Holden Colorado", the best looking Rodeo ever released in my oppinion.

Yeh I agree, you can never beat a 2 door. But Holden did release a coupe version of this as a limited edition. So there is hope for a new Monaro/GTO yet.

The G8 is an awesome car, I really hope they put a Supercharged on the V8. The only thing I don't like about the car is that ugly antenna on the roof, should of integrated the AM/FM antenna in the window and put one of those little On Star/Satellite Radio/Navigation receiver on the roof. Great price, great car. Much better than those overhyped, POS, Euro-Trash BMW's.

I recently sat in a 2002 5 Series and wasn't impressed by the quality of the dash/seat materials, and found it small. Plus the outrageous price is a turnoff.
Except for what I mentioned in my last post and lack of in dash navigation system I feel the G8 is a superior car. Not to mention it can be had for thousands upon thousands less.
Tell me why didn't you burn the people who criticized the G8, they seem to be speaking from ignorance.

well sorry to say to the BMW kids out there, i have had 3 and ive had to sell them everytime because BMWs and VWs happen to be a nightmare when it comes to breakdowns, also this car offers at least the performance of the BMW for a lot less money, which is what pontiac and GM was trying to do.

I've owned 2 M3s and a 325i. My wife's owned a 328iC and a 530i. I was shopping European cars to replace my out of lease Volvo S60R when I drove by a Pontiac dealership near my Volvo dealership. After a test drive, I was impressed to say the least! After doing extensive internet research, the "thunder from down under" now sits in my driveway. It will be inferior to the S60R this Winter, but it completely owns the BMWs. With it's huge price advantage, it's just a no brainer. An amazing car.

I love american cars the new pontiac G8 is really sporty and agressive looking!!!!

being completely unbias towards either, i do have to say this much. On the upside the G8 GT is by far one of the best bang-for-the-buck out there, has everything anybody would want (except navigation...i wonder why they didnt include it) RWD + 6.0L engine = major fun! on the down side comparing it to a 5series, BMW's are known for high-resale value attained over long periods of time, im unsure how the G8 will hold up in terms of depreciation after a few years. I love the G8 because its different
