i'm not sold on using coconut oil because it has lots of saturated fat.

i think one might be well served by also ingesting highly alkaline foods like leafy, dark green veggies just to be safe.
In moderation they are good but if you currently have cholesterol issues they are not recommended.
However if you have a heart condition or issues with plasma cholesterol then daily consumption should be avoided.
To sum it up dietary cholesterol actually increases the LDL levels in your body.
