Germans were slaughtering American civilians for God's sake. Where the hell do you draw the line? Unrestricted submarine warfare on ships carrying Americans, not to mention conspiracy to start a proxy war against us using Mexico, as well as open oppositiong to us. I'd say going into Europe and crushing Germany was the right thing to do, and just. The Europeans were imperialists, but us getting in that war doesn't make us so.

It's absolutely not fact, in fact it's propaganda used by opponents of Israel. Also, maybe Israel wouldn't be sending its military in if Palestinians weren't electings and supporting terrorists that were killing Israelis. For God's sake, think kid. We provoked Germany by aiding Britain. Why were we aiding Britain in the first place? That government was full of scum-bags!!! No, the citizens of Germany allowed Hitler to do what he did. They were complicit, though they were also brainwashed. France and England unfairly bankrupted Germany, destroying their country's economy! France and Britain have done evil things to this world, too.
Plus, the Hitler analogy is shallow in comparison to today's global conflicts. We are the only true military power! We have no true enemy countries. Pacifism is the only logical way to deal with the world now, in my opinion.

Hey dipstick, the Germans weren't attacking those ships because they had supplies on them, but because they were British. The Germans didn't even know ships like the Lusitania had supplies and couldn't have known; they were cruise ships for God's sake. We weren't waging a proxy war at all. Those weren't soldiers on those ships. Those people on the Lusitania were slaughtered by Germany. Those were innocent people that had no idea about those supplies.

And learn about the Zimmerman telegram. Germany wanted Mexico to go to war with America. In exchange for keeping America out of the war, Germany would let Mexico keep the portions of America taken during the Mexican-American War. Mexico didn't do it because the telegram was intercepted by the British. The telegram was sent in anticipation of renewed submarine warfare. They planned it ahead of time. They also wanted to use Mexico to get Japan on Germany's side. Don't be a fool.

We have completely screwed up the fight against Al Qaeda by letting the neo-cons take advantage of the situtation. Invading Iraq diverted resources, de-stabilized the region, and weakened our support from other nations.
We should have chased Bin Laden as far as we had to, even if it meant going into Pakistan temporarily. But we should NOT occupy the region!!!

Dumbass, what ended the Cold War? Reagan's military spending and invasions and bombings of our enemies, or Carter's pacifism and deals with the Soviets? The Cold War lasted for half a century because we never fought to win it until Reagan. Truman wouldn't fight in Korea to win. Eisenhower softened after election and toned down his approach to brinkmanship. Kennedy failed in the Bay of Pigs and Missile Crisis. Johnson wouldn't fight to win in Vietnam.

Nixon and Ford made deals with the Soviets for Detente. Carter kept it up and completely gave up our position in the world and let the Soviets expand their influence in Africa and Latin America. It was Reagan that took them on economically, militarilly, diplomatically, and politically. A war hawk brought peace, nto a war dove.

OH God, the neocons. It's always the neocons. Do you even know what a neocon is? A neo conservative was a socialist in the Cold War that joined with the conservatives and right wingers to support a strong foreign policy. That's it. They were Trotskyists-turned defense hawks. That's all there is to it. Jeane Kirkpatrick was a neoconservative. She grew up a socialist and eventually joined Reagan's cabinet and became a Republican. There's no neocon conspiracy.
