its all well and good that you all like metallica....they're cool....but just face it dream theater is just BETTER lol you might LIKE metallica more yoursellf, personally, thats fine but.....i doubt any dedicated well rounded musician could POSSIBLY tell you these guys dont just have more talent...peroid....lol (not saying anyone was saying otherwise nesecarily just thought i'd make that statement)

Dream Theater works well for cover songs but Labrie is always sort of going WAY out of his way to be a heavier sounding vocalist. They should have two vocalists. Lots of bands do. I just hate it when they try and become this badass band and force James and his beautiful voice onto this bed of torture where he has to go against everything he has ever been taught about using his god gifted falsetto.

Why all this comparing Dream Theater with Metallica. OK there are certain parts of this song that have the Metallica feel BUT Dream Theater could play anything by Metallica without too much effort; Metallica would struggle to play most Dream Theater songs.
This is not a criticism of Metallica who are one of my favourite bands but they just do not have the technique, ability or pure musicianship of Dream Theater.
