lions are natural fighters.. like pitbulls..nothing personal to the tiger...i love tigers..they r very sexy...but so is lion... if u want groceries u go to the supermarket not the corner store...if u wanna see who would win in a FIGHT between lion and tiger the 1 with the fighter experience has to have ur 1st pick .. not the heavyest...we know the tiger is faster( a huge advantage) but only if it knows how to use it ..standing up fighting will get u killed... i want everybody to do me a favor .

when u wacth these lion vs tiger videos.. 1st wacth from lion point of view and then tigers piont of view and judge thruthfully...from the 25 or so videos i saw the lion is a better fighter...if a tiger knew how to fight it would kill i lion easily(its faster)... also when driving my 18 wheeler ...we r taught to exit the truck using 3 piont stance ..2 feet 1 hand for greater balance..the fact the lion use it in fighting show greater awareness for correct fightn footwork??

i think tigers are best figthers, generaly they are more weigh, and have more experience, because they have to catch their food, fight for territory and females, lions just figth for territory and females, and this isnt frecuently

yes. just range is up to 550pounds. and from wikipidia northern bengal tigers' average weight is 236kg, whil all the male a.lions are average 181kg. in reality wild lions are mostly under 200kg. fake animal planet or films......you pick animal planet... anyway every tigers in the films are smll male tiger and female tiger.

I remember reading somewhere, and it seemed logical, an explanation of why lions tended to win virtually every one of these staged fights. The explanation seemed to center around the fact that tigers, while maybe more athletic overall, have a body built more for leaping, while a lion has a much heavier musculature on the front half of its body. This may help explain why the lion has such an advantage in a face-to-face confrontation on the ground.

I don't know where you read that but Lions have no larger musculature on the front of their body than Tigers do. The large mane on a Lion makes it appear larger. Male Lions are some lazy bastards who let their women do most of the fighting. Fact.

a full grown siberian tiger can weigh over 300 kg (700 lbs)whereas adult lions rarely weigh more than 250 kg (550 lbs). So there is no chance for a lion to win if both individuals are the same age and full grown .I just spent 10 minutes on wikipedia to read everything about both animals , and tigers are the BIGGEST and the most POWERFUL of all pussycats , and their fur is way more classy.
