I dunno about greatest franchise in sports. In 107 years, the Yankees have won 26 championships, 24% of their history. In 62 years, the Boston Celtics have 17 championships, 27% of their history. However, as much as I hate the Yankees, as a fan of professional sports, I do respect the fact they've had some talented teams and great men play for them.
In the 21st century though, you gotta tip your hat of to my team. :D

"Shut Up" Yankee Fans. Your team is a looser. It was a shame what the yankee Organization did to Joe Torre. Torre guided the Yankees to many World Series Pennants. The Yankees never mentioned Joe Torre in the "Closing Ceremonies" at the Old Yankee Stadium. Joe Torre and "The Dodgers" are going to the playoffs. The Yankees aren't going anywhere.
