When the talented Don Estelle died in 2003, he was fittingly buried with his oversized pith helmet from the series. I think thats very touching. RIP Don & thank you.

..why do some people take so much delight in the downfall of people like Don Estelle. It can't have been easy for him to "make it", he didn't have the looks or the stature, but boy he coudl sure sing.

A fantastic program, fantastic actors which made me laugh when i was 10 years old. I wish the BBC would bring this program back. It was full of punns and adult fun but was not full of swearing etc. A true family viewing program for all ages. Sorley missed.

About 15 years ago, I was travelling back from London and sat opposite Windsor Davis on the train. My colleage kept nodding at him, but I didn't recognise him IRL (He is really small himself, so Don must be tiny!) - so I thought he was indicating a tramp... (Windsor was particularly red-faced at the time.)
I really wish I had gone over to say hello, as he is a veritable legend!
